Rodgers: Our Job Is To Test Liverpool

Manager Brendan Rodgers speaks to the media as Leicester City prepare to tackle Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

"Liverpool are on an incredible run, at home and away, in terms of winning games in the Premier League, so we’re under no illusions of the task.


"It’s a great opportunity for us to test and challenge the quality of their team and that’s something that we’ve been looking at since we’ve worked together.

"We're bringing a real positive mindset into our games, a real aggressive mentality, no matter who the opponent is.

 We recognise, of course, we’re playing against a top-level opponent. Like I say, they’re European champions currently, so it’s always going to be a tough game, but we’re excited by that.


"As we move along, the players are having that belief. No one expects us to get anything from the game, that’s the reality [against] Liverpool in the form they are in.

"However, for us, we go into every game to look to perform, to work well and see where it takes us."
Rodgers repeated his desire to see Leicester 'impose' their style of play on the opposition, wherever City play or whoever they come up against.
